Corroborating this hypothesis, a recent report by our group showed a trend of increasing fiber density—a fixel‐based imaging metric (Dhollander et al., 2021 )—in the ipsilateral CST of an overlapping sample (including also non‐subcortical stroke patients) between 1 month and 1 year post‐stroke (Cheng et al., 2021 ).
