In this earlier study, we observed a significant trend: as the size of the aryl rings around the tetraazaporphyrin core increased, zinc phthalocyanine exhibited a bathochromic shift of 79 nm (at λ max = 661 nm) compared with zinc tetramethyl tetraazaporphyrin (at λ max = 582 nm).
