This was also proven by a small RCT from Sweden where the authors stated that “ Although the primary endpoint for the study (amount of noradrenaline used 24 and 48 h postoperatively) did not reach statistical significance, the results show a trend towards beneficial outcomes with the use of CytoSorb® , with better hemodynamic stability in the intensive care unit, and lesser amounts of transfused blood product postoperatively ” [ 12 ].
