V11F showed significantly impaired inhibitory activity (24% ± 3% reduction in proliferation, P < 0.05), whereas M12I and L14A exhibited only modestly reduced potency relative to CHAMP-1 and the differences did not reach statistical significance (54% ± 9% and 36% ± 16%, respectively).
