When categorizing centers into quartiles for volume of mitral repairs, there was a significant trend toward a higher proportion of no resection repairs with increasing center volume (R 2 = 0.92, P = .04) ( Figure 3 ), although there was no significant trend when categorizing surgeon volume into quartiles for one technique use over another (R 2 = 0.41, P = .36) ( Figure 4 ).
