For instance, Savla et al found a nearly significant association between SGA and death in their univariate analysis, but their study focused exclusively on cases of single‐ventricle CHDs. 4 Similarly, Steurer et al reported a significant association between SGA and death, but only in patients with critical CHDs. 6 The true impact of SGA on mortality rate likely falls within the range of these studies, and we believe it is closely tied to the specific composition of CHDs within the studied population.
