Also, when compared the ratio of young-onset gastric cancer incidence rates in the Republic of Korea and Japan with global incidence rates, it was found that the burden of gastric cancer in the Republic of Korea remains high globally, with an increasing trend observed after 2016 (from 2.72 to 2.78) (Supplementary Fig. 5 ).
