Average respiration rates per larva were 9.33 x 10 −4 ± 2.53 x 10 −4 nmol O 2 min -1 (mean ± SD) across treatments after 24 h of exposure and declined to 6.01 x 10 −4 ± 1.97 x 10 −4 nmol O 2 min -1 after a week of recovery, but this was only marginally significant (p<0.06, df = 1, F = 15.83, S4 Table ).
