In terms of predischarge complication rates, patients who had LOS >1 day were more likely to have received intraoperative or postoperative blood transfusions (0.3% versus 4.5%, p <0.001) and were more likely to have undergone reoperations (0.1% versus 0.6%, p =0.004), although the latter did not reach statistical significance upon multivariable logistic regression ( Table 2 ).
