According to the Cox regression models, pre-pregnancy overweight/obesity showed a nearly statistically significant association as a protective factor (HR = 0.44, 95%CI = 0.18–1.06) for inadequate GWG, regardless of maternal characteristics and the other adipokine concentrations, (see Table 2 ).
