While the small sample size of patients with noninvasive test scores in this study means that the data should be interpreted with caution, there was a clear trend between a high-cost burden and worsening scores such as FIB-4, which builds on evidence of increased FIB-4 scores correlating with a higher cost burden. 9 Proactive intervention(s) to delay, halt, or revert the progression of MASH and associated comorbidities could reduce the clinical and economic burden associated with MASH.
