The survey showed a clear trend for these approaches compared to the older data [ 36 ]—LISA use increased from 7.1% to 66.7%, and INSURE use increased from 40.0% to 71.4%, suggesting an increased interest in reducing the risk of intubation and prolonged mechanical ventilation and good compliance with European consensus guideline recommendations.
