During the multivariate analysis, OLGA stages III and IV were associated with an increased risk of gastric cancer [OR: 2.09 and p = 0.008 and OR 2.04 and p = 0.014, respectively], with this increase displaying a significant trend from OLGIM stages I to IV (OR: from 3.64 to 13.2).
