The results of the follow-up of HIV-related lung cancer patients were compiled and log-rank test was applied, and the results showed that there was no significant difference in overall survival (OS) between the high and low CTSG protein expression groups, but the Kaplan-Meier survival curves plotted showed a trend of longer OS in the group with high expression of CTSG protein, which is consistent with the Kaplan-Meier survival curve of the impact of CTSG on the survival of non-small cell lung cancer patients in the database, and the expression of CTSG protein may also be a possible predictor of prognosis of patients with simple lung cancers as well as those with HIV-related lung cancers.
