We have been the first to report the presence of specific polyphenols at quite significant concentrations in Hericium erinaceus biomass, and this finding has also been confirmed in Coriolus versicolor biomass, demonstrating their anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective action associated with the modulation of stress resilience pathways in a rodent model of traumatic brain injury [ 32 , 33 ].
