The relationship between risperidone and a higher rate of mortality due to unnatural causes (relative to lithium) did not reach statistical significance in additional analyses on short exposure duration (<365 days, albeit remained significant for longer exposure of ≥1 and ≥2 years) and in the sensitivity analyses restricting to low MPR of other mood stabilizers and monotherapy (i.e., risperidone-only), precluding definitive conclusion in this respect.
