The results in this study cohort implied that there was a small trend toward faster time to successful catheterization via the UDGT compared with the TPT, although all differences between the two techniques were small.

15 Although our study did not find a statistical difference in the efficacy of catheterization between the techniques, the Kaplan–Meier curves consistently showed a trend suggesting that the UDGT allowed for faster catheter placement compared with TPT ( Figure 1 ) and was still a worthwhile technique to use.
