Nineteen single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in 9 genes (AVP, corticotropin-releasing hormone receptor 1 ( CRHR1 ), corticotropin-releasing hormone receptor 2 ( CRHR2 ), FK506-binding protein 51 ( FKBP5 ), nuclear receptor subfamily 3, group C, member 2 (mineralocorticoid receptor ( NR3C2 )), AVPR1A , GAL , galanin receptor 1 ( GLRA1) , and neuropeptide Y receptor Y1 ( NPY1R )) showed nominally significant association with heroin addiction ( Levran et al., 2014a ).
