By analyzing the modulation index of phase at 1–29 Hz and amplitude at 7–45 Hz during each period in the frontal and occipital lobes, it was found that compared to mild OSA patients, moderate and severe OSA patients showed a trend towards higher of MI in the low-frequency (5–7Hz) and high-frequency (25–29Hz) in all sleep periods ( Figure 2–4 ).

The sentences
Our study found that patients with moderate to severe OSA exhibited an increasing trend in the modulation index (MI) of low-frequency theta phase and high-frequency beta amplitude in the frontal and occipital regions during N1 and wakefulness periods, in comparison to patients with mild OSA.
