Expanding our analysis to include schizophrenia-associated variants (SCZ) and neurodevelopmental disorder (NDD) genes ([ 33 , 34 ] Methods), we observed nominally significant enrichment of schizophrenia-associated variants among enhancer regions of EPIs in the inhibitory neuron cell-type AD and promoter regions of ESC cell-type EPIs ( Figure 6 A,B; Figure 7 E,F; Supplemental Figure S9 ).
