The AUS subcategory nodules showed higher malignancy rates than the FLUS subcategory nodules only in the low suspicion US categories; however, the observed differences did not reach statistical significance in all US RSSs (10.2%–12.4% vs. 2.3%–2.4%, respectively; P = 0.084–0.146).
