Our study also found that parenteral Gln supplementation had a tendency to reduce postoperative complications such as anastomotic leakage, bleeding and postoperative infection, but the difference did not reach statistical significance, which may be due to the small number of subjects included in the study, and further study with larger sample should be continued.
