Except for a higher frequency of preoperative opioids in the GES implantation with pyloromyotomy group (47.5% vs 14.3%, p < 0.001), no differences in patient characteristics were observed. Success rate Kaplan–Meier curve analysis showed a trend for a higher clinical response rate at 5 years after GES with pyloromyotomy (82%) versus without (62%), without statistical significance ( p = 0.066) (Fig. 1 ).
