Results from the T-test between isolates from maize or non-maize hosts indicated a slightly significant association between isolate host and disease severity (T-test p = 0.05 ( S11B Fig )), providing evidence that Fusarium can adapt to their hosts to cause higher disease severity and Fv isolates cause more severe maize infections compared to other Fusarium species that are also found in maize.
