In the age and poverty ratio subgroups, although there was a trend toward a negative association between MHR and telomere length, it did not reach statistical significance (Table S1 and Figure S1 , supplementary data).
This is consistent with the results of our study, where the oldest individuals in the Q1 group showed a decreasing trend in telomere length.
