45 Nevertheless, mortality is still quite significant for aortic dissection, with rates near 20% at 1 month, 30% at 6 months, and 35% to 45% at 5+ years for patients with aortic dissection, even with treatment. 46 , 47 Our findings corroborate previous reports of increased mortality from aortic dissection in high-income countries and warrant further investigation into causal factors. 16 The findings of the present investigation should be interpreted in the context of important limitations.
