When we used the loadings of the 84 metabolites in PC starvation to project the metabolome data from our study, we find not only that rapamycin treatment led to larger PC starvation values (ANOVA, treatment F (1,27) = 40.44, p = 1.4 × 10 −6 ), but also that there was a highly significant and consistent displacement of the metabolome along the PC starvation axis in rapamycin‐sensitive lines (Figure 4b , ANOVA, treatment × phenotype F (1,27) = 21.06, p = 9.18 × 10 −5 ).
