Possibly due to limitations in sample size, there was considerable variation in the estimated years of life gained for the ‘≥5 cups/day’ tea consumption group between males (-1.92 years, 95% CI: -5.3 to 1.03) and females (1.74 years, 95% CI: -1.82 to 4.94), although estimates both did not reach statistical significance.
