The second QTL is located on the long arm of the chromosome and includes 8 consecutive significant markers (one approaching significance) spanning 3.5 cM and 20.6 Mb ( Table 5 , Figure 3 ); this QTL contains 18 disease-resistance related genes, two encoding TIR-NBS-LRR proteins and 13 encoding CC-NBS-LRR proteins, and all of them within 0.84 Mb of at least one significant marker.
