Another possible explanation could be that the prevalence of self-reported symptoms was higher in people of higher SES while the clinical diagnose did not reach statistical significance. 7 Future studies are needed to identify how the timing and/or accumulation of low household income are associated with various asthma-related outcomes in high-income country settings.
