We completed our analyses of temporal data in a sequential way and at different spatial scales to enable examination of site occupancy trajectories for each species: (1) when combining all data for an overall trend over time; (2) for trends over time in each study; and (3) for trends over time for each of the most important experimental contrasts within a given study (see Table 1 ).
