For multivariable analyses, P values were corrected using the false discovery rate (FDR) via the Benjamini-Hochberg method, with FDR-adjusted P values < 0.01 being considered statistically significant and FDR-adjusted P values < 0.05 as nominally significant. 22 This threshold was chosen to reduce the likelihood of false positives given the large number of comparisons.
