The results indicated that 79% of the associations were significant (overall mean [±1 SEM] P = 0.035 ± 0.006) with a negative trend (mean [±1 SEM] coefficient = −3.05 ± 0.07% taxa −1 ) across the data, indicating that the more of these interactive species are present, the worse the prognosis ( Fig. 2 ).
