Tests for population differences between the sympatric and absent transplant sites revealed scarcely significant differences in the other measured traits from either species in 2021 [ see Supporting Information—Table S3 ], whereas, in 2022, we found significant differences in plant height, number of ramets and biomass for A. nemorosa and in biomass for M. effusum ( Table 1 ).
