Regarding surgical complications, the laparoscopic intracorporeal ileostomy reversal (LIIR) group exhibited a comparatively lower complication rate than the open ileostomy reversal (OIR) group; however, the difference between the two groups did not reach statistical significance ( P > 0.05; Table 2 ).
