In terms of proliferation capacity, Cit‐IONP‐ECs showed a trend towards higher cell number immediately after loading (subcultivation 0) compared to PVP‐IONP‐ECs, which was found to be significant after the first subcultivation (3.41 × 10 4 ± 5 × 10 3 ECs cm −2 vs 16.19 × 10 4 ± 1.77 × 10 3 ECs cm −2 , p < 0.0001), indicating better proliferation, while in parallel they also showed higher viability (85.77% ± 1.53% vs 80.83% ± 1.27%, p = 0.3268).
