Although the overall incidence rate of clinically relevant POPFs did not reach statistical significance (32.9% in the control vs. 22.4% in the teres ligament; p = 0.20), a statistically significant protective effect of teres ligament coverage against clinically relevant POPFs was observed ( p = 0.0146) [ 23 ].
