Regarding the RC specimens, the maximum load did not exhibit a clear trend with the reinforcement-to-balanced reinforcement ratio, and, except for specimen 30_RC_d40 which experienced rebar rupture, the ratios of the experimental to calculated maximum loads were low, ranging from 0.64 to 0.96.
