They also did mention that no quantitative assessment for pain was done in their study and complaint of post-operative pain was more frequent in robotic IPOM group, although it did not reach statistical significance.[ 6 ] Literature clearly depict pain in IPOM to be directly proportional to the tack fixation.[ 21 ] This low pain scores led to early ambulation as well as return of bowel functions in rTAPP group and ultimately decreased duration of hospitalisation.
