Next, we measured the levels of hAβ42, and ethanol-fed APP/PS1 mice showed a trend toward an increase in TBS-soluble hAβ42 compared with the control group (133.1 ± 13.7% of control equivalent to 242 ± 24.4 pg/mg brain protein in the ethanol-fed mice vs. 100 ± 14.7% of control equivalent to 181 ± 26.3 pg/mg brain protein in the control-fed mice, p = 0.069) ( Fig. 1D ).
