Our analysis indicated that total SCFAs, as well as specific SCFAs such as acetic acid, butyric acid, hexanoic acid, propionic acid, and valeric acid, exhibited trends toward elevated levels in the HIV control group compared to the HC group, however, most of these differences did not reach statistical significance.
