A systematic review and meta-analysis, including 20 studies and 5705 patients with ACLF, reported improved 30 (RR 1.36, 95% CI 1.22–1.52, p < 0.001) and 90-day (RR, 1.21, 95% CI 1.10–1.34, p < 0.001) survival but did not reach statistical significance on sensitivity analysis including only RCTs [ 228 ].
