It is of note that, among the MASLD cohort, there was an overall trend of consuming more refined grains (refined wheat: 0.69 ± 0.99 vs 0.66 ± 0.39 g/kg/d; refined rice: 0.19 ± 0.02 vs 0.13 ± 0.11 g/kg/d) compared with whole grains (wholegrain wheat: 0.23 ± 0.3 vs 0.31 ± 0.34 g/kg/d; wholegrain rice: 0.04 ± 0.12 vs 0.03 ± 0.05 g/kg/d), but the differences did not reach statistical significance.
