The 24-hour pH impedance study done at 3 (n = 70; EFTP = 35 and sham = 35) and 12 (n = 27; EFTP = 27 and sham = 9) months after the intervention showed a reduction in the esophageal acid exposure from baseline in the EFTP group; however, the difference did not reach statistical significance.
