The more abundant salicinoids, salicortin and homaloside D, showed a trend towards increased concentrations in the endophyte + herbivory compared to the other treatments, but this was not significant (Figure 2a ). 6'‐ O ‐benzoylsalicortin levels were slightly, but non‐significantly higher in the endophyte + herbivory treatment (Figure 2a ).
