Among participants with a spousal study partner at baseline, we estimated 93% greater odds of study partner replacement comparing participants who differed in age by 5 years (OR = 1.93; 95% CI: [1.40–2.67]; Table 3 ); though it did not reach statistical significance, we estimated a 17% higher odds of study partner replacement comparing participants who had a non‐spousal study partner at baseline but differed in age by 5 years (OR = 1.17; 95% CI [0.85–1.62]; Table 3 ).
