After excluding MiNEN cases, G1 and G3 NEN cases still had significantly higher percentages of alcohol drinking ( p = 0.003) and cigarette smoking ( p = 0.013) than controls; however, the higher percentages of areca nut chewing in G1 and G3 NEN cases did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.193) (Table 2 ).
