16 , 17 Pooled data from global and Chinese phase 3 trials consisting of more than 1600 patients, TAF treatment appeared to have a lower risk of HCC than TDF treatment, especially with early ALT normalization during treatment, although the difference did not reach statistical significance. 65 However, due to insufficient long‐term data of TAF, whether there is significant difference in the risk of HCC between the TAF and TDF should be further investigated in near future. 7 OTHER MODIFIABLE RISK FACTORS FOR HCC Last issue is that how we can further reduce the risk of HCC in patients who have already been under currently available NUCs.
