Although certain variables in our study did not reach statistical significance, the marginally lower incidence of complications in the subclavian vein group compared with the axillary vein group, combined with the potential benefits of a larger vein diameter and greater blood flow achieved by positioning MCs beyond the axilla, suggests practical significance in clinical practice.
