They found that 10umol/L served as a threshold for Hcy, above which the risk of cognitive impairment was increased ( P = 0.003) [ 51 ], which was verified in the present study, in addition, a study has demonstrated that the Hcy levels were higher in the cognitively impaired group than in the non-cognitively impaired group in patients with COPD and that serum Hcy levels showed a negative trend in correlation with scores in specific cognitive domains on the MoCA scale [ 63 ].
